The theme of the 2nd “Good Design at Home” is "live inside, start from your home".
One generation has one theme for it. The theme of this era is often linked to the word "pandemic". For a better life at home, it is more important to keep our bodies and minds in a happy state.
The French philosopher Gaston Bachelard wrote in his "Poetics of Space" that home is the corner of the world where people are, and we are at home and home is within us. By setting the theme of this year's competition, it awakens the exploration of physical and mental health within home during the stay at home.

Barbara Marshall, is a Director of Marshall Design an independent design practice specializing in design trend consultancy.
Marshall Design collaborates with researchers in international design, technology and social trends affecting manufacturing and retail. In addition to the design practice, Barbara has over 25 years experience with clients in manufacturing both local and international. With a commitment to design education Barbara was foundation a member of RMIT Design Research Institute Advisory Board and a former member of the Victorian Government's State of Design Advisory group and a Board Member of the International Fibre Institute.
Barbara is an invited member of several key international trend panels, a founder and Australian Director of the Pan Pacific Fashion Colour Conference and a Chairholder of Color Marketing Group.

She’s working as a Product Designer and Trend Forecaster with some of Australia’s most successful retailers. She has passion for interiors and homeware, obsessing over colour palettes, curating mood boards and working with like minded creative.
